From sketch to data-ready leaderboard: Motion Design MCP by GeoTech
A leaderboard is a useful test for a motion-graphics workflow: it needs a clear visual hierarchy, readable information and well-timed animation, with room for the content to change.
GeoTech’s latest demo explores that use case with Unreal Engine Motion Design, AI assistance and our Motion Design MCP.
Patrick Wambold started from a sketch and a FigJam board, then built and refined a mechanical leaderboard inside Unreal Engine. He used the Motion Design MCP and companion skill developed by Lukas Kundelis, with Content Hub supporting asset management.
MCP, or Model Context Protocol, connects the AI agent to tools in Unreal. Lukas’s documented workflow covers Sequencer, Cloners, Rundown and Remote Control, including graphics rigging, transitions and viewport review. The companion skill guides how the agent uses those tools.
The demo’s graphic elements are rigged for live data updates. That makes the workflow relevant to scoreboards, event rankings and other displays where the information changes while the visual design remains reusable. These are potential applications; the accompanying clip shows the animated leaderboard, not a live data-feed test or the prompting session.
The creative process remains directed by a person: inspect the result, refine the composition and pacing, and ask for another pass. Patrick’s iterations show that loop in practice.
